The Ahafo Regional Minister, Charity Gardiner, together with some District Chief Executives (DCEs) and the Member of Parliament for Asutifi South, inspected the ongoing construction of the Maabang–Goaso road on Sunday, February 1.

Speaking to the media after the inspection, Charity Gardiner said that the poor road network remains one of the major challenges confronting the Ahafo Region.
She explained that during the 2024 general election campaign, the people of the region appealed to the President, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, to fix their roads.
According to her, the President promised that if he was voted into office, work on the roads would begin within one year, a promise she noted is now being fulfilled.
The Member of Parliament for Asutifi South, Hon. Collins Dauda, expressed his gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama for honoring his commitment.
He further commended Kofi Job Construction Limited for the quality of work being done on the project.
