The Ahafo Regional Minister, Mr. George Yaw Boakye on 26th May 2022, toured various centres where the Ministry of Communications and Digitalisation’s girls in ICT beneficiaries are undergoing training.
Mr Boakye implored the students to make themselves proud of being part of the ICT programme and learn hard to impact what they are taught to their colleagues back at their various schools.
The minister led by the National Coordinator of Girls in ICT Programme, Mrs. Veronica Rita Sackey who also visited the centres earlier on on 26th May 2022.
The tour was to obtain firsthand information and inspect what the girls have done since the beginning of the training.
During the Regional Minister’s tour, a beneficiary however displayed to the Minister and the National Coordinator in a practical way what she has learnt so far.
He advised the female students to take the ICT lesson serious and promised to give a prize to the girl who will emerge as the winner in the end.
Present at the visit were the Asunafo North District Education Director, Mrs. Helena Mensah, Team MOCD, AITI-KACE and GIFEC.
