Former Chartered financial economist at the Presbyterian University College in Abetifi, Peter Kuutol has said, President Akufo-Addo is someone who believes in loyalty than competent people who can work tirelessly to salvage the ailing Ghanaian economy under his watch.
Whiles discussing the economic woes of the country on Republic Fm with Kwame Koranteng on Tuesday, June 28, he said, the President is not bothered to relieve off Ghanaians from the hardships they are facing.
Responding to questions posed by Kwame Koranteng on Akufo-Addo’s refusal to initiate a reshuffle in his governance, he said, “Can I be honest with you? President Akufo-Addo believes in loyalty than competence. He believes in loyalty than competence, that’s the whole thing. If you can’t do the job but be loyal to him, he will continue to keep you there, and it doesn’t matter what anybody in the country say, he does not care”.
According to him, President Akufo-Addo was the man the entire country believed in prior to his coming into power.
He said, the people thought he was going to shake the fundamentals of the economy and the thinking of the people but unfortunately, he will remain and will go into the history of Ghana as the worse President Ghanaians has ever voted according to his personal views.
“Akufo-Addo was the man all of us believed in prior to coming into power. We believed that he was going to shake the fundamentals of the economy and the thinking of the Ghanaian people, unfortunately he will remain and go into history as the worse President ever Ghanaians has voted for”, he told Kwame Koranteng.
Ghana’s current economic woes continues to deepens under the leadership of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s administration.
