President Akufo-Addo has revoked the appointments of some 24 municipal and district chief executives across the country with immediate effect.
In a letter dated February 2, 2024, the President indicated that the decision is accordance with Article 243 (3) (b) of the 1992 Constitution and Section 20 (3) (b) of the Local Government Act, 2014, (Act 936).
It is however unclear why the 24 DCEs have been sacked by the president.
