Al-Sadd have reached a mutual agreement with Ghana’s captain Andre Ayew to end his stay with the Qatari side, the club announced on Sunday.
The 33-year old signed for Al-Sadd as a free agent in 2021 after he left Swansea City.
“Al-Sadd SC has reached an agreement with Andre Ayew to terminate his contract with the club by mutual consent,” the club announced via Twitter.
Ayew has scored 18 goals in 29 appearances for the Qatari club, winning two trophies with the club.
However, Andre Ayew has five months left on his contract, but both the team and the player have come into agreement to end the contract.
It means Ayew will now be able to join a new club on a free transfer.
