The Deputy Minister for Education, Dr. Clement Apaak, has assured parents that efforts are underway to resolve all issues related to the Senior High School (SHS) placement process.
Resolution centres have been established at the GNAT Hall in Accra to handle placement-related issues after the SHS placements were released.
As of Friday, September 19, students and guardians massed up at the centre to resolve challenges with the wards’ placement.
During a visit to the GNAT Hall in Accra on Friday September 19, where scores of parents had gathered to seek assistance, Dr. Apaak reaffirmed the government’s commitment to resolving all placement issues before October 18.
“We will address all issues. So be rest assured that by the time our wards are expected to report which is this time next month, October 18 – many of these issues, if not all, will be resolved,” he stated.
“So, we want to thank you all for the trust and the faith and to urge you all to continue to stay calm. We will do our best to serve you, because we are here to serve you,” he added.
The Ministry of Education has announced that out of the 603,328 students who sat for the BECE exams, 483,800 candidates have received automatic placement into Senior High Schools (SHSs), Senior High Technical Schools (SHTSs), and Technical and Vocational Institutions (TVIs).
