The National Service Authority (NSA) has reaffirmed its commitment to the timely payment of stipends, announcing that concrete steps are being taken to clear all outstanding allowances owed to legitimate service personnel by the close of this week.

In a press release dated February 17, 2026, the Authority acknowledged that allowances are fundamental to supporting personnel during their service year and emphasized that every individual deserves their rightful stipends without delay.

The Management of the NSA disclosed that the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) advanced funds for the disbursement of two (2) months’ worth of allowances last week.

Despite the availability of funds, a temporary delay in payment has occurred due to an essential administrative requirement.

The Authority stated categorically that the current delay stems from an ongoing verification process conducted by the Ghana Interbank Payment and Settlement Systems Limited (GhIPSS). This process must be completed to ensure financial integrity and accuracy before the final payments are effected to personnel accounts.

The Director-General of the NSA, Ruth Dela Seddoh, expressed appreciation for the patience and resilience demonstrated by National Service Personnel (NSP) during this period.

“Your service to the nation remains deeply valued and appreciated,” the statement noted, further promising that all verified arrears will be cleared by the end of the current week.
