Security Consultant Richard Kumadoe has called on law enforcement agencies to maintain heightened alertness in the Bawku enclave ahead of the official presentation of the Bawku Mediation Report to President John Dramani Mahama.
The report, prepared by Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, is scheduled to be presented to the President on Tuesday, December 16. It marks a significant step in the ongoing efforts to restore sustainable peace and stability in Bawku and its surrounding communities.
Speaking to Citi News, Richard Kumadoe noted that the report is expected to outline responsibilities and recommendations for key stakeholders to ensure effective conflict resolution in the area.
“What I suspect is this, in the report there will be responsibilities assigned and there will be some key functions for certain specific people to play, it could be for the police council, the presidency, the law enforcement agencies and then the clans.
“Law enforcement agencies have a duty and a responsibility predominantly within the Bawku area to ensure that within this space of time, they maintain law and order.
