Residents of Teshie, a community in the Ledzokuku Krowor constituency in the Greater Accra Region, took to the streets on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, to register their displeasure over the deplorable nature of their roads.
The protest saw thousands of people from the community wearing red attire and displaying placards that sent a strong message urging the government to focus on fixing the community’s roads.
Some of the messages displayed on placards included “Take our 1 million dollars and give us good roads”, “we can’t drive in manholes any longer”, “Ledzokuku deserves better,” and many others.
The protest dubbed “Maaba Teshie” to wit ‘Why Teshie’ commenced from Adjorman Roundabout and ended at Teshie-Maamli.
