The Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III has sworn in a farmer as Aboabo Kesse hene.

Nana Osei Kwame II, succeeds Nana Kwadwo Kesse II who was recently destooled by the Asantehemaa over charges of gross misconduct.

Know in private life as Kwadwo Atta, the new Aboabo Kesse hene in the Atwima Kwanwoma until his Installation was a farmer who owns several acres of Cocoa, orange, maize and other animals across the Region.

At a ceremony to swear to Asantehemaa at the Manhyia Palace (Asantehemaa court), Asantehemaa Nana Konadu Yiadom III advise him on what was expected of him as the occupant of the Aboabo Kesse stool.

She reminded him of the task ahead since he is the servant to the stool and that of the Asantehemaa.

Asantehemaa told the new chief that the Aboabo Kesse stool was one of her revered stools in the Asante Kingdom and must preserve the dignity and respect accorded the stool as the next occupant.

She counseled him to serve the people with honesty and desist from activities that violates customs and traditions of the Asante people by working closely with elders in his palace.

He cautioned him not to disrespect the elders and people by virtue of being the chief, but rather engage them for wise counsel to be able to provide progressive leadership for the benefit of Asanteman.

The Aboabo Kessehene thanked Asantehemaa for the honour done him and pledged to serve the people of Aboabo Kesse with diligence.He said as a farmer, he will liaise with government and other corporate bodies to fund most of the developmental projects in the community.

Nana Osei Kwame said in an interview with Silver FM’s Akwadaa Nyame when addressing his people to outline his vision and direction.

He mentioned education, health and security as one of his key priority projects, adding that getting all these will release stress from his people who travelled far to access these social Amenities.

On health, Nana Osei Kwame II said he will establish a Health Endowment Fund to support the aged and cater for drugs not covered by the National Health Insurance scheme for people in the area.
