Member of Parliament for Ashaiman, Ernest Norgbey together with some assemblymen have hinted they will take legal actions and seek compensation for residents in the area after the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) brutalised some residents over the alleged killing of a young soldier.
The MP is said to have consulted a legal team to take up the case to seek justice for his constituents.
Earlier on Thursday March 9, 2023, Hon. Ernest Norgbey, assemblymen and some released victims of of the assault spoke to the press on way forward to seek justice.
On Tuesday, some military men stormed Ashaiman Taifa over the alleged killing of their colleague colleague.
The armed military men who were asked to go on an intelligence led operation to fish out the killers of their colleague soldier rained beatings on young citizens in the community.
Although the public is against the gruesome murder of the young soldier, the public has also described the action by the military men as needless.
So far some 150 out of the 182 arrested individuals have been released.
The young soldier, Imoro Sherrif was laid to rest today Thursday March 9, 2023 at the Burma Camp cemetery following a burial service held by the muslim community and the Ghana Armed Forces.
Investigation into the case is still ongoing as the Ghana Police seek to bring out the culprits.
