The Ashanti regional MPs of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have stepped forward to support the victims of the recent Adum Blue Light fire disaster in Kumasi.

The MPs, under the leadership of Hon. Kofi Amankwa Manu, donated a sum of GH₵ 150,000 to help the affected traders rebuild their businesses.

Hon. Amankwa Manu, speaking on behalf of the caucus, assured the traders that they would continue to visit and offer assistance as needed to ensure the reconstruction of their shops and businesses.

He emphasized that the NPP was committed to standing by the victims during this challenging time.

In response to the donation, the Ashanti regional chairman of the NPP, Mr. Antwi Bosiako Wuntumi, expressed his gratitude towards the MPs for their timely intervention.

He also appealed to former President John Mahama to offer government support to the traders, calling for swift action to help the affected individuals rebuild their lives.

Furthermore, Mr. Wuntumi took the opportunity to urge President Mahama to caution pro-NDC communicator, Kelvin Taylor, for making disparaging comments about the fire victims and the leadership of the Ashanti region.
