The Atentebenhene Foundation Ghana brought the Christmas spirit to life with a generous donation and a festive celebration at the Up and Shine Academy in Nsawam.
The academy, known for its commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities, welcomed the foundation’s act of kindness as a boost to its mission.
The non-governmental organization, focused on uplifting the needy and vulnerable, chose the holiday season to extend its support. Inspired by the academy’s recent initiatives, the foundation made a significant impact through both material and financial contributions.
“We wanted to show our support and solidarity during the Christmas season,” said Aduhene Emmanuel, the foundation’s CEO and a military officer. “We shared a meal together, enjoying traditional Ghanaian dishes like jollof, fufu, and banku, alongside a variety of drinks.”
The foundation’s donation included staple items such as rice, cooking oil, toiletries, clothing, cooking utensils, and a cooking cylinder with a burner. To further support the academy’s operations, the foundation presented a cash donation of GH₲2,000.
The event also served as a celebration of unity and community spirit. Beneficiaries, staff, and foundation members joined in the festivities, creating a joyful atmosphere filled with laughter and gratitude.
The Atentebenhene Foundation’s gesture highlights the power of compassion and collective responsibility, showcasing how small acts of kindness can create lasting impacts.
