Three persons sustained various degrees of injuries when two vehicles collided head-on at Ngleshie on the Anyinam-New Jejeti Highway in the Atiwa East District.
According to Republic Online sources, the accident occurred around 5pm on Thursday, January 13, 2022, after a Toyota Vitz car with registration number GG3482-21 which was headed for Accra from Kumasi in a bid to overtake a vehicle, collided with the KIA Taxi with registration number GE9639-21, which was headed for Ngleshie.
The eyewitness indicated that the victims in the private car escaped unhurt when the vehicle somersaulted and went up in flames.
The three injured persons onboard the taxi were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
This adds to the numerous accidents that have occurred already this year, and taken many lives, while leaving several others injured.
