The District Chief Executive for Atiwa East, Ernest Owusu Ntim, has led a massive clean-up exercise in the Anyinam township to enhance healthy living in the District.
The exercise saw the enthusiastic participation from the NDC party members in Atiwa East, traders, drivers and community folks.
Participants swept major streets, gutters were desilted, cleared market places, lorry stations and cleared littered waste in the township.
Speaking to press men, the DCE, Ernest Owusu Ntim emphasized on the need to clean our environment time to time to improve sanitation and promote environmental health for good hygiene.
“Sanitation is essential for public health and community development, so we have to adopt proper waste management practices”
” Environmental cleanliness is a shared responsibility that contributes to public health and my office will continue to provide logistics and support for future cleanup programs”, he added.
He commended members at lorry stations and participants for their active involvement and urged for continuous commitment to cleanliness.
