The Member of Parliament for Atiwa East, Mrs. Abena Osei-Asare has met with the family of an NPP polling station youth organizer in Akadewaso, Kwame Danso, who died after a short illness.
The Assembly Member for Akadewaso, Elvis Obeng, on behalf of the family expressed his gratitude to the MP for the support given to the family throughout the difficult times.
“Kwame’s demise is regrettable. He felt sick within a short period and died but what I can say about him is that, he wholeheartedly served the party when he was alive. He doesn’t talk, his work talks for him but then if he’s no longer alive and left behind children, it is in my best interest to cater for them and lift their potentials. I pray that the Lord will lift these children through me for them to know that their father joined the right political party”, she said.
The pronouncement was conveyed on the side of the MP’s community engagement held in Awerensua on Sunday, October 5, after the MP had previously on Saturday commiserated with the family for the funeral.
“We must console ourselves, this is not how we wanted things but our ways are different from the Lord’s. I commend all of you for putting together a befitting burial for our dear brother, it’s our fervent prayer that the Lord will comfort all of us. But their during the funeral, we were told he had four kids. Kwame was very young, I would want to take custody of the children. I have accepted to give them educational support and it’s our prayer that this shall go a long way to uplift the image of the family”, the MP emphasized.

Kwame Danso died on Thursday, July 31st after a short illness.
