Member of Parliament (MP) for Atiwa East Constituency of the Eastern Region who doubles as Deputy Finance Minister, Abena Osei-Asare has stated that the government is optimistic about improving the educational sector in the country.
According to her, President Akufo Addo has allocated 25% of his developmental budget to the educational levels in the country.
She made this known when cutting sod for the construction of 6 unit classroom block and 6-unit toilet facility at Tiawia Subrisu, 6-unit classroom block and 6-unit toilet facility at Adasawase, 6-unit classroom block and 6-unit toilet facility at Abekwase, 6 unit classroom block and 6 unit toilet facility at Enyirasi and also Boys and Girls Dormitory for Anyinam TVET all in Atiwa East municipality.
Hon. Abena Osei-Asare admonished Konel Construction Ltd, Chiefs, Assembly members, DCE for Atiwa East, District Director of Education and all inhabitants of Atiwa East to help build the schools within four to six (4-6) months as stated.
The District Director of Education at Atiwa East Municipality, Mr. Frank David, however, thanked the MP for helping the Municipality to curb the challenges they face in education.
