A delegation from Atlantic Lithium met with Ghana’s Lands Minister, Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, on Wednesday to discuss the company’s mining prospects and ongoing operations in the Ewoyaa area of the Mfantseman Municipality.
The discussions centered on the company’s lease agreement, which is currently awaiting parliamentary approval.
The delegation sought the government’s intervention in expediting the process to enable the company to move forward with its mining activities.
In response, Minister Buah assured the delegation of his commitment to working closely with Parliament to resolve the matter, thereby facilitating the construction of the mine.
This development marks a critical milestone for Atlantic Lithium, as the company has already secured a Mine Operating Permit from the Minerals Commission— the final regulatory approval required to commence mine construction.
Atlantic Lithium Limited, an Africa-focused lithium exploration and development company, has been granted this permit for its flagship Ewoyaa Lithium Project, paving the way for the project’s next phase.
The company remains optimistic about the prospects of the project, which is expected to play a significant role in Ghana’s growing mining sector.
