Nyomoase residents, a farming community in the Atebubu-Amantin Municipality in the Bono East with a population of about two thousand people are complaining over the lack of good portable drinking water.

According to the Nyomoase people, all their boreholes in the community have been destroyed and this has forced them to fetch water from the gutter.

The residents again complained that even though, the gutter they are getting their source of water from will soon dry up since we are in the dry season but appealed to the government and other Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO) to come to their aid to provide them with portable drinking water.

They also called on the Atebubu-Amantin Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Honourable Edward Owusu as well as their Member of Parliament Honourable Senja Nanja as a matter of urgency to come to their aid to provide them with good drinking water and also repair their breakdown borehole for them to get good water to drink.

Speaking to the Assembly Member of Nyomoase electoral area, Honourable Jacob Bimpor also called on the Member of the Parliament of the area and the Municipal Chief Executive for Atebubu-Amantia through the government to supply them with good drinking water else come 2024 general election, the people of Nyomoase community will not vote and participate in any political activities.
