Danger looms for staff and pupils of Banda Sabie Presby Primary School in the Banda district of the Bono region as they fear the dilapidated classroom block could collapse on them anytime soon.
The building which once served as a place where the next future leaders of the country could come from has been in a deplorable state for some time now, as a result, students and teachers fear going close to it to teach and learn.
Madam Alamata who is the caretaker of the school said, when she noticed the classroom could no longer be fit to house students and was not in a normal state, she made a complaint to the district educational directorate but no measures are being put in place to solve the problem.
According to her, the structures have now become a death trap for the pupils, teachers and the people of Banda Sabie.
She stressed that the buildings are extremely weak for learning purposes.
She is however appealing to the government, NGOs, Ministry of education, Stakeholders and other agencies to come to the aid of the school.
She concluded that she would be forced to close down the school if the ministry of education does not come to their aid.
