A devastating road accident has claimed the life of a young midwife, Anane Florence, in the Jaman North District.

Florence, who was awaiting posting, was traveling with her sister Georgina and Georgina’s 7-year-old daughter when their motorbike was hit by a speeding Toyota Tundra.
Florence and the child died on the spot, while Georgina sustained serious injuries and has been transferred to Wenchi Methodist Hospital for critical care.
The accident occurred when Florence, Georgina, and the child were traveling from Sampa to Suma.
The driver of the Toyota Tundra is believed to have been speeding and is currently on the run. The police have launched a full-scale manhunt to apprehend the suspect and bring them to justice.
Florence’s life was cut short just as she was about to embark on a new chapter. She was set to marry her longtime fiancé from the diaspora on October 2, 2025.
The wedding gown she had carefully chosen remains untouched, a poignant reminder of the future that will never be.
The Duadaso community is in shock and mourning the loss of a young life full of promise.
Community folks have sent condolences to the bereaved family, and asked for comfort, healing, and justice in this difficult time.
The police investigation is ongoing to ensure that justice will be served.
