Traders at the Sunyani Wednesday market in the Sunyani Municipality of the Bono Region are lamenting over the flow of toilet wastes in the market, from a sceptic tank of nearby public toilet.

According to some of the traders who shared their ordeal with Nimde FM, they stressed how unhealthy and unwholesome the place has become due to the flow of the waste products.

Reports and confirmations indicates that, the sceptic tank of the toilet has been full for a long while now, and it has forced its own way out of the tank, flowing straight to a nearby gutter, which passes through the market, leaving an unbearable scent around, making the place unhealthy for human survival.

The caretaker for the facility revealed that, this has been the situation of the toilet for sometime now and has therefore called on authorities to ensure the facility is revived.

A call to the Regional office Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proved futile, since they listened with a half ear. The Sunyani Municipal Assembly is yet to respond to the cry of the marketers.
