Sixteen-year-old Alhanssan Suleman, aka Baba, has been stabbed to death at a popular drinking spot at Berekum in the Berekum East Municipal Assembly of the Bono Region.
The incident happened on Saturday, July 15, 2023, when the three friends, including the deceased, attended an evening party at the drinking spot located in the vicinity.
According to the information gathered, the deceased, a Junior High school Form 3 student, was allegedly stabbed by twin brothers, Harus and Farouk, who lived in the same house with the victim.
The mother of the deceased, Safia Sulemana, said she did not believe it when news broke out that her son had been stabbed to death. She added that she is the one taking care of the two suspected killers since their parents divorced.
An eyewitness, Mohammed Sofian, explained that the deceased was stabbed in the chest several times, and a sporadic gunshot was fired by the twins during the misunderstanding. The eyewitness said he managed to rush the victim to the hospital, but he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The body of the deceased has since been deposited at the hospital morgue, awaiting autopsy.
The Berekum Police are still on a manhunt to arrest the two suspects as they have begun investigations into the incident.
