The candidates in the race were Mohammed Ramme, the NDC Constituency Chairman; Amina Adam, widow of the late Member of Parliament; Baba Jamal Mohammed Ahmed, Ghana’s High Commissioner to Nigeria; Yakubu Azindow; and Najib Mohammed.
But Baba Jamal in an interview noted that he was just gifting the delegates and did not expect it to influence them in any way.
