Black Stars defender, Baba Rahman, is said to be in stable condition following a severe head injury he sustained while playing for his club, Paok in a cup match against Panathinaikos on Wednesday evening.
The 29-year-old lost consciousness after he went in for a challenge, which resulted in a head collision with the opponent.
This quickly prompted the medical team to attend to him, halting the game for some minutes but was rushed to the hospital for further assessment.
However, he is reported to have regained his consciousness after the horrifying incident.
The match, which travelled into extra time, saw Panathinaikos win 6-5 on penalties.
