Barbara Oteng-Gyasi chairs Minerals Commission Board

Former Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Barbara Oteng-Gyasi, has been appointed as the new chairperson of the Minerals Commission Governing Board.

Former Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Barbara Oteng-Gyasi, has been appointed as the new chairperson of the Minerals Commission Governing Board.

She replaces former Ashanti Regional Minister, S.K. Boafo, as Chairperson of the Commission.

The Former Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources was appointed by President Nana Akufo-Addo and sworn into office with other members of the board on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, by the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Samuel A. Jinapor.

Other members of the Board include Ag. Chief Executive-Mr Martin Kwaku Ayisi, Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana-Presidentโ€™s nominee, Hon. Dakoa Newman-Presidentโ€™s nominee, Togbui Awusu III-Presidentโ€™s nominee, Hon. Charles Acheampong โ€“ President’s nominee, Mr Emmanuel Vincent [Esq]-President’s Nominee, Mr James Koligu Ataki-President’s nominee and Mrs Judy Nakour Crayem-President’s nominees.
