H.E. Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President of the Republic of Ghana and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has inaugurated two key development projects in the Western Region aimed at improving the well-being and livelihoods of Ghanaians.
During a commissioning ceremony, he officially opened the Tarkwa Nsuaem Government Hospital and the Bonsa One District, One Factory (1D1F) Project at Bonsa, underscoring the government’s commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery and economic growth.
The Tarkwa Nsuaem Government Hospital, a state-of-the-art facility, is expected to serve as a critical health hub for the people of Tarkwa Nsuaem and surrounding communities.
The hospital is equipped with modern medical infrastructure, which will offer a wide range of healthcare services, including general outpatient care, maternity services, surgical operations, and emergency response.
This development is in line with the government’s broader agenda of improving healthcare access across the country, especially in under-served regions.
At the same event, Vice President Bawumia also commissioned the Bonsa One District, One Factory (1D1F) Project, which forms part of the government’s flagship industrialization program.
The 1D1F initiative seeks to promote industrialization in every district of the country by establishing factories that leverage local resources to produce goods and create jobs.
The Bonsa project focuses on boosting the local economy by providing employment opportunities and fostering sustainable development through value addition to local resources.
Dr. Bawumia lauded the efforts of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government in bringing these transformational projects to life, crediting the success to the collaboration between the government and local stakeholders.
He expressed his appreciation to the people of Tarkwa Nsuaem and Bonsa for their unwavering support of the NPP, noting that such projects are the result of a shared vision for national progress.
“These projects represent our commitment to improving the lives of Ghanaians, by not only delivering quality healthcare but also creating jobs and opportunities for sustainable economic development. We are grateful for your continuous support and look forward to working together to achieve even greater things for Ghana,” the Vice President said during his address.
He also used the occasion to call on the people of Tarkwa Nsuaem and Bonsa to actively participate in shaping the future of the country by voting massively for him and the NPP in the upcoming December 7 elections. Dr. Bawumia emphasized that the NPP has proven its ability to deliver development and progress and that another term in office would enable the party to continue its efforts to transform the country.
“Your vote is your voice, and it will decide the next chapter of our nation. I urge you to support me and the NPP Parliamentary Candidates in your respective constituencies as we work towards creating a better Ghana for all,” he added.
The commissioning of these projects signifies the NPP’s commitment to ensuring that all regions in Ghana benefit from equitable development, while contributing to the broader goals of industrialization, job creation, and improved healthcare.
As the 2024 elections draw near, the Vice President’s visit to Tarkwa Nsuaem and Bonsa highlighted the government’s progress in delivering on its promises, while making a strong case for the electorate’s continued support.
