The Director of Communications for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Richard Ahiagbah, has described Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President and presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as good and faithful servant, thus, urge Ghanaians to vote for him.
Speaking during a press engagement at the party’s headquarters in Asylum Down, Accra on Wednesday, 27 November 2024, Mr Ahiagbah cited the parable, which tells the story of a master who entrusts three servants with varying amounts of gold before embarking on a journey.
“The first two servants double their entrusted gold, earning the master’s praise and rewards. The third servant, however, buried his gold, offering no returns, and is ultimately cast out into the darkness.
“Bawumia is an example of the good and faithful biblical servant because he has served Ghana well and deserves commendation and reward. Like the first two servants in the parable, the vice president has maximized the opportunities and responsibilities entrusted to him for the betterment of the country,” Mr Ahiagbah said.
Citing references from the book of Matthew 25:14-30, underscored the importance of diligence, accountability, and reward for good stewardship, values he attributed to Dr Bawumia’s leadership.
“In Dr Bawumia, we see a leader who has not only been entrusted with Ghana’s resources but has also delivered tangible results that have positively impacted lives,” Mr Ahiagbah said.
In furtherance, NPP Director of Communications alleged that the Presidential Candidate for the NDC, John Mahama, is an example of a wicked and lazy servant who did not live up to expectations in his four years as president of this republic.
“Like the master in Matthew chapter 25, Ghanaians voted to cast John Mahama out of office in 2016. Somehow, he thought the 2016 decision to cast him out of office was a flash in the pan, but in 2020, Ghanaians affirmed that 2016 decision. Now, in 2024, let’s, in a landslide, retire the former president from politics,” Richard Ahiagbah said.
He reiterated that, Ghanaians must vote for the NPP to show John Mahama and the NDC that, they cannot afford the risk of electing a president who cannot respond to the needs of Ghanaians in challenging times
“Voting starts on Monday, 2 December 2024, with special voting. Most of you here (referring to the media) will be voting alongside the security. Please cast your ballot for Dr Mahamadu Bawumia and the NPP parliamentary candidates (number #1) in line with scriptural wisdom to protect our gains while charting a new path to make Ghana competitive in the future global economy,” he appealed.
