Bawumia knows he’ll lose 2028 elections but he wants to destroy NPP like his father betrayed UP tradition – Group

A group calling itself “Save NPP Now” has criticized former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia over comments he made prior to the 2024 general elections.

The group, led by Kwesi Korang, highlighted a statement the former Vice President made in the Northern Region.

While campaigning to lead the NPP in 2024, Dr. Bawumia reportedly told citizens that if they voted for a Northerner to become President in 2025, they would not do so again in 2028.

Because of this pronouncement, the group argues that Dr. Bawumia is not qualified to represent the NPP, stating that the commentary will eventually “come back to haunt him.”

The convenor added that the former leader has already achieved a great deal through the NPP and should be content with his accomplishments.

He advised Dr. Bawumia not to leave a negative legacy for the NPP, drawing a comparison to his late father, ‘who also betrayed the UP tradition of the elephant family’.

“Don’t forget your father Alhaji Mumuni Bawumia had a record of betrayal against this same UP tradition so don’t leave a bad record for your children too in the near future. Appreciate what Npp has done for you, remember where they took you from and where you are today and be content with what you have achieved for yourself both materially and exposure because of the opportunity that NPP gave to you.”

According to the convenor, Dr. Bawumia is aware that the party will lose the 2028 elections with him as a candidate. For this reason, he should step aside to prevent causing destruction to the NPP after the elections.

“Be greatful to Allah your creator and withdraw from the up coming NPP flag bearership race to same the party from further destruction and electoral defeat in 2028 since you yourself knows clearly that Ghananians will not vote for another Northerner in 2028. Don’t be selfish and we should think about NPP and its future and the country, remember what NPP has done for you and your family and don’t pay us back with evil because of selfish people around you, don’t waist our time and energy.”

Dr.MAHAMMUD BAWUMIA with the greatest of respect don’t leave a bad name for your Children, grand children and great grand Children because of greed

Those around you will not tell you this hard truth because of their personal interest. During 2024 electioneering campaign you Dr Bawumia told Ghananians especially our brothers and sisters in the Northern part of our country that when Ghananians voted for a Northerner in 2024 and subsequently became the President of Ghana in 2025 there would be no way Ghananians would vote for another Northerner in 2028 which was purely the truth so why now.?

Don’t forget your father Alhaji Mumuni Bawumia had a record of betrayal against this same UP tradition so don’t leave a bad record for your children too in the near future. Appreciate what NPP has done for you, remember where they took you from and where you are today and be content with what you have achieved for yourself both materially and exposure because of the opportunity that NPP gave to you.

Dr. Bawumia, since 1992 you are the only person that has been brought from outside to this party by Nana Akufo-Addo to be given you a waiver for five years. After that running mate for eight (8) years and also vice President eight years (8) so is it not enough Dr Bawumia? .

Be greatful to Allah your creator and withdraw from the up coming NPP flag bearership race to same the party from further destruction and electoral defeat in 2028 since you yourself knows clearly that Ghananians will not vote for another Northerner in 2028.

Don’t be selfish and we should think about NPP and its future and the country, remember what NPP has done for you and your family and don’t pay us back with evil because of selfish people around you, don’t waste our time and energy. NORTHERNER GOES NORTHERNER COMES IT WILL NOT HAPPEN SAYS DR. BAWUMIA
