Speaking with Accra-based  Asaase 99.5Fm on Thursday, February 8, Rohullah Khomeini opined that, the passage of the Electronic Levy, is a total discouragement for financial transactions, thus, needs to be scrapped off.

“It is not for crowd-pleasing, these are ideas well thought through by the flagbearer of the NPP. There is that recognition that we have to confront the cost of living issue which every Ghanaian is concerned about…“, he said.

He emphasized that the transition to the digital space as a country, the implementation of taxes, should not persuade individuals to lose interest in it.

“We must not have a tax system which will discourage people from wanting to participate in the digital space,” he added.
