The Archbishop of Perez Chapel International and Honorary Chancellor of Perez University College, Charles Agyinasare speaking at the 2025 Convocation Ceremony of Accra Metropolitan University has urged graduates to become catalysts for change in their communities, workplaces, and the nation.

Addressing the graduating class with heartfelt conviction, the Archbishop reflected not just on academic success, but on the deeper values of vision, purpose, and discipline.

“I urge each of you to go beyond mere celebration today. You are not just graduates—you are stewards of transformation,” he declared. “The leadership insights and academic tools you’ve acquired here must translate into ethical influence, innovation, and nation-building.”

He recounted his own journey through the university as a graduate of the MBA in Human Resource Management programme—an academic pursuit he described as both “rigorous and rewarding.”

“Standing here as a prized alumnus fills my heart with gratitude and reflection. My decision to pursue an MBA was born out of the need for more than a conventional academic experience. I needed an institution with vision, agility, and relevance in today’s rapidly changing world,” he said.

That institution, he found in Accra Metropolitan University. He praised the university’s flexible learning model, which allowed him to study while traveling across the globe for conferences, missions, and pastoral duties.

“Whether I was in Amsterdam, Port Harcourt, or Miami, I could still engage in live academic sessions. It was demanding, yes—but also deeply formative,” he said.

The Archbishop paid glowing tribute to the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Goski Alabi, for her academic mentorship and high standards.

“She would review my assignments and thesis with precision. I remember her saying, ‘Archbishop, this is good, but you can do better.’ That firmness refined my academic thinking and shaped my thesis into a piece I now hold with pride.”

He noted that the MBA helped bridge the gap between his spiritual leadership and organisational development, enhancing his understanding of human capital, corporate systems, and ethical leadership.

He revealed that the programme served as a solid foundation for his current doctoral studies at the Graduate School of Business in Malta.

To his fellow graduates, the Archbishop offered a stirring call to action: “We are not just collecting degrees—we are receiving mandates. Leadership in this century demands strategic thinking, emotional intelligence, and integrity.”

He challenged them to leverage their education in service of real-world impact: “Let us take what we have learned to transform churches, build institutions, and serve society with excellence.”

In his final remarks, he praised the university’s leadership, faculty, and staff for creating a nurturing academic environment where “learning meets life and purpose meets preparation.”

“As we walk into the next chapter, let us lead with courage, humility, and conviction,” he said. “The world needs more than spectators—it needs transformational leaders. May we each rise to that call.”
