Management of Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC) has cautioned defaulting customers of the loan facility to repay immediately before legal actions are taken against them.
MASLOC is a Government social intervention policy that is available to every interested Ghanaian be it an individual or group, hence the need for all beneficiaries to pay back to ensure that the monies revolve and serve other persons.
Speaking in an interview with the Media in Techiman, Benjamin Amoah, the Bono East Regional Manager of MASLOC revealed that upon assumption of office of the new President John Dramani Mahama led National Democratic Congress administration, there are plans to embark on a very effective nationwide loan recovery campaign to sustain the financial assistance program.
He reaffirmed that his outfit is currently employing a number of measures to recover all monies given out to beneficiaries including the courts.
He warned defaulters to rather own up and pay back the loans because MASLOC would be making prosecutions at the law court after two weeks of this notice.
Benjamin Amofah added that MASLOC does not consider one’s political affiliation before granting or recovering loans therefore any interested individuals or groups in small and medium businesses can freely walk into their offices nationwide with a Ghana Card to seek financial assistance with a little interest and stressed that Ghanaians should not see their upcoming loan recovery campaign as a political ‘witch-hunting’.
