Bekwai: Amansie Youth for Action bares teeth at Govt over cook stove distribution

Amansie Youth for Action [AYA], a youth group in Bekwai have expressed their extreme disappointment at government for distributing 1800 cook stoves to some communities in the municipality.

Amansie Youth for Action [AYA], a youth group in Bekwai have expressed their extreme disappointment in the government for distributing 1800 cook stoves to some communities in the municipality.

The ‘angry’ youth claimed the cook stove distribution was a misplaced priority since the inhabitants of Bekwai believe they have pertinent issues that need immediate solutions from government.

Asked what their concerns are, the General Secretary for Amansie Youth For Action (AYA) , K. Atta said, “we need Astroturf, Bekwai needs Ultramodern market centers, Bekwai needs 1D1F, most of Bekwai youth are unemployed therefore we need job, Dumsor is collapsing private businesses in Bekwai, Most of government schools are still studying under trees, Drivers are crying of the increment of fuel prices, galamseyers are destroying our water bodies.

The group is calling call on New Patriotic Party government led by Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo, 1st Deputy Speaker of Parliament also a Member of Parliament for Bekwai constituency. Joeseph Osei Owusu to help the good people of Bekwai because, they also deserve to benefit from the national cake.
Government of Ghana led by President Nana Addo distributed 1,800 Cook stoves to the some of communities in the Municipal and was powered by South Korea’s government and the East – West Power Corporation at Bekwai Municipal Assembly Grounds on Monday, 10th May, 2021.
