Berekum Chelsea have re-signed forward Stephen Amankona on a permanent deal from Kumasi Asante Kotoko, club announced on Monday.

Amankona’s form in the 2020/21 season where he scored 10 goals in 28 matches and also helped the Berekum-based club to reach the semi-final of the MTNย FAย Cup, caught the eye of the Porcupine Warriors who moved to secure his signature.

However, the 22-year old has struggled to get game time ever since he joined the Porcupine Warriors and has managed to make only five appearances this season.

He re-joins his former club Berekum Chelsea, who are 10th on the betPawa Ghana premier league table.
