The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Birim Central, Hon. Solomon Brako Kusi, paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, Hon. George Opare Addo on Thursday, May 15, in Accra.
The meeting, held at the Minister’s office, focused on deepening collaboration between the Ministry and the Birim Central Municipal Assembly in advancing youth-centered development initiatives.
Hon. Opare Addo, himself a former MCE and the youngest ever to hold that office in the Akuapim North Municipal Assembly at age 27, shared insights from his leadership journey. He urged Hon. Brako Kusi to embrace inclusive leadership, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and working beyond political affiliations to achieve meaningful results.
During their discussion, both leaders explored practical strategies for youth development, job creation, and empowerment in the municipality. The MCE expressed optimism that the dialogue would lead to stronger institutional ties and impactful programs for young people in Birim Central.
“This meeting marks the beginning of a strengthened partnership with the Ministry, as we work together to improve opportunities and resources for our youth,” Hon. Brako Kusi remarked after the engagement.
The visit underscores a shared commitment to inclusive governance and youth empowerment as pillars for sustainable community development.
