Ghana’s U-23 men’s team, Black Meteors have from today begun camping at the Ghana Centre of Excellence at Prampram to prepare for the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in June this year.
Head coach Ibrahim Tanko, has invited twenty-two players, of whom are all locally based, with the likes of Afriyie Barnieh, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Ernest Nuamah and Emmanuel Yeboah all expected to join the team later.
Ghana is placed in group A with Morocco, Guinea and Congo.
Meanwhile, the tournament, which also double as a qualifier for the 2024 Olympics games in Paris will begin on June 24, and end on July 8.
