The Black Queens of Ghana have defeated Senegal for the second time in a space of four days in a friendly.
The senior women’s national team won by a goal to nil at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday, after heavily defeating their West African counterparts last Saturday.
Yesterday’s win was a second leg of the double header between the two sides, who are preparing their teams for for future competitions after missing out on the FIFA Women’s World in Australia and New Zealand.
The Teranga Lioness of Senegal were careful in the first half of the game, as they stopped Ghana from finding the back of the net.
It took the brilliance of Evelyn Badu who calmly beat the defenders of Senegal in the 18-yard box to place the ball in the net to give Ghana the lead in the 84th minute.
The victory means head coach of the Black Queens, Nora Hauptle has not lost a match since she took over the team January this year.
