The Black Stars of Ghana on Monday night were held to a goalless draw when they faced Namibia in a friendly encounter at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, as part of their preparations for the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) to be held in Ivory Coast.
It was a disappointing night for Chris Hughton and his men as they failed to create clear-cut chances to find the back of the net, raising concerns among fans as the team gets ready for the tournament which will begin on Saturday, January 13, 2023.
Ghana is expected to depart to Cote D’Ivoire on Wednesday to continue preparations for the tournament.
The Black Stars is in group B with Egypt, Cape Verde and Mozambique and will kick off the tournament with playing their first game against Cape Verde on Sunday, January 14, 2024.
