Alhaji Latif Abdulla has been enstooled by the chiefs and people of the Banda Traditional Council at a grand durbar which was held at Banda Biema in the Banda District in Bono region.
The stool name, “Twurugonkon Salatamma” which translate to mean “Traditional House of Red Sala”. Alhaji Latif was given a stool name which the custom demands, as Nana Alhaji Latif Salatamma I, which mean, to protect and unify the people of Biema as part of the enstoolment.
According to the people of Biema, their pleasure is that for about hundred years now they have not witnessed to have a chief as such in their village which have thousands people, and are now in joyful moment for the Banda Traditional Council to get them a chief.
Speaking at the event, the Paramount chief of Bandaman, Nana Ɔsabarima Ɔkokyeredom Kwadwo Sito I, whom was represented by the Akyempemhene of Banda Traditional Council and double as the Odikro of Banda Bofie, Nana Yaw Mensah II, said the reason for honouring the people of Biema a Chief was to get unifiable prospectives to help the betterment of the rights of the people of Biema.
Alhaji Tahiru Adams who spoke on behalf of the patriarch of Biema, Nana Alhaji Bawa, also expressed his gratitude and advised the enstooled chief to be a unifier to bring the people of Biema in peace and with positive thinking to desist from discriminations.
In his response, Nana Aljhaji Latif Salatamma I thanked the chiefs and people of Biema for the honourable gesture and reiterated his promise to make positive impact under his leadership.
The residents of Banda Biema also showed their joyful gratitude for the honorary of their native and urged their support to their newly enstooled chief.
