The Bono East regional PURC has assured consumers in the region of protecting their interest.
Mr Kingsley Attitsobui, Media relations officer PURC Bono East disclosed that commission’s role in regulating electricity and water services ensuring fair pricing and safeguarding the interest of consumers and utility service providers.
He addresed the ‘Ahof3 Ntoaso Association, combination of Dressmakers and Beauticians’ at Darso in the Offinso North district.
Mr kingsley said the initiative formed part of the commission commitment to bringing its services closer to the people while fostering awarenes of consumer rights and responsibility within utility sector.
He eduacated faithful on the commission’s complaint handling procedures urging consumers to channel concerns through the appropriate platforms for prompt resolution.
Mr kingsley noted that PURC remained accessible and responsive to consumer grievances adding that timely reporting of issues enhanced effective service delivery.
He said the commission’s outreach initiatives would also deepen public understanding the strenghthen stakeholder confidence accross the region.
Mr Kingsley sharing some practical tips on energy and water conservation called on household to adopt responsible usage habit to reduce wastage and manage utility cost.
