The concern youth of Old Drobo in the Jaman North District of the Bono Region are appealing to the former Member of Parliament for Jaman North who doubled as a deputy Bono regional minister Hon Siaka Stevens to construct their gutters in the town.
According to the agitated youth, Hon Siaka Stevens promised to construct the gutters in the town during the election period hence dug the gutters in the town a week before the election but after the election he left the gutters which puts constituents’ lives in danger.
Speaking to the convener, Kwang Fredrick (Awuche) said due to the uncompleted the gutters, drivers in the town finds it difficult to ply the road. When it rains school children are unable to go to school.
They said several complaints have been made through the assembly woman and the District Assembly but to no avail so they are therefore appealing to president, Nana Akufo-Addo to come to their aid.
The spokesperson for the Youth in the area told the media about current state of the road after the unknown Contractor abounded the gutter said the shoddy work done on the gutters has created deep cracks and holes in some sections of the road which is very dangerous for motorists.
