A tragic incident has shaken the town of Dwenem in the Jaman South District after a 41-year-old woman, identified as Madam Afia Emilia, was allegedly murdered by her own son.

The suspect, 18-year-old Kwaku Obed, reportedly attacked his mother on her farm around 5:00 PM on Monday, following a dispute. Reports suggest that the conflict arose after the mother advised him to quit smoking.
