The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Mr. James Oppong-Boanuh on Friday, 19th March 2021 joined the Chiefs and people of his hometown, Asikasu No.1 in the Bono region, to cut the sod for the construction of an ultra modern Police Station.
The project is financed by the community with technical support from the Police Administration.
In his keynote address, the IGP urged members of the community to provide information about wrong doers to the Police. He praised the community for affirming collective commitment to support the Police to consolidate peace and security in country.
“Your outstanding gesture reinforces your demonstrated and long-standing desire for peace and security in the Dormaa traditional area and the entire nation.” He said.
He also commended Nana Ampabeng Kyeremeh, Chief of Asikasu No.1; Odeneho Akosua Fima Dwabeng II, Dormaa Hemaa; Hon. Drissa Quattara, Municipal Chief Executive and Chairman for the occasion; Mr Oppong Yeboah of the National Health Insurance Office at Dormaa: the Clergy and community members present for ensuring that the community gets a Police Station.
The IGP was accompanied by COP Mr. Samuel Money, Director-General/Technical; COP Mr. Owusu Boateng, Bono Police Regional Commander; ACP Mr. Owusu Ansah, Chief Staff Officer and other Officers from the region.
