Members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Tain Constituency of the Bono Region have invoked curses on the NPP for allegedly busing non-residents to the EC Office in the Constituency to partake in the ongoing votes transfer exercise.
According to Hon. James Tannor, the NDC’s Tain Constituency Secretary, they have seen strangers in the ongoing votes transfer exercise which they suspect to be voters from the Jaman South and North constituencies and other constituencies.
He alleged that the NPP PC, Hon Alexander Ababio is responsible for their arrival hence their decision to call on the gods.
“We are only seeking for free and fair elections hence whoever accepts to transfer his or her vote to Tain Constituency to vote on behalf of the NPP shall suffer their own consequences”, he said.
Meanwhile, Mr. Tannor blamed the alleged NPP act on the EC for banning party agents from observing the exercise but also expressed satisfaction with the EC for reversing the decision.
“NDC welcomes the decision of the EC to rescind its ban on Party agents and we are ready to represent the party at each centre to observe the conduct of the Electoral Commission and other political parties to prevent rigging in the general elections”, he stressed.
