The Department of Public Relations (DPR) of the Ghana Army has bid farewell to Director General, Brigadier General (Brig Gen) Eric Aggrey-Quashie in a ceremony held on Tuesday 20 May 2025 at the department’s headquarters.
The ceremony was for Brig Gen Aggrey-Quashie to officially hand over command of the department to Captain (GN) Veronica Adzo Arhin marking the end of an era and the dawn of a new chapter in leadership.
The ceremony was a testament to Brig Gen Aggrey-Quashie’s dedication and service to the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) as well as the Department of Public Relations. Captain (GN) Arhin takes the reigns, bringing her expertise and experience to the role.
In his remarks, the outgoing DG reflected on his tenure and expressed gratitude to everyone at the department for their commitment, discipline and professionalism.
He highlighted key achievements under his leadership and encouraged continued excellence under the new command.
The department also honoured Ex SWOII Acquaye Eric Joseph, the first Senior Warrant Officer of the department and WOI Akpabi Kwesi Brown, the senior-most military reporter who are both proceeding on retirement after 30 years of service with the colours.
