The Aduamoa community in the Kwahu-East District has received a significant boost in its efforts to build a permanent district office for the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS), thanks to a GH₵400,000 donation from the Member of Parliament for Abetifi, Hon. Dr. Bryan Acheampong.
Dr. Acheampong, who presented the donation on Saturday, April 19, 2025, praised the Chiefs and residents of Aduamoa for initiating the project, describing their commitment as a bold and commendable step toward strengthening national security at the local level.
The new office, once completed, is expected to enhance the efficiency and reach of immigration operations across the Kwahu-East District, easing administrative work and improving service delivery.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Acheampong underscored the need for both government and communities to invest in institutions that safeguard Ghana’s security. “It is important to support the agencies that work tirelessly to secure our borders and protect our nation,” he said.
The Comptroller-General of the Ghana Immigration Service, Mr. Kwame Asuah Takyi, also lauded the initiative and Dr. Acheampong’s contribution, calling for more collaboration between public officials, private partners, and local communities in building infrastructure for security agencies.
The Chiefs and people of Aduamoa expressed heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Acheampong and all dignitaries who attended the event, pledging to see the project through to completion.
