The Appointments Committee of Parliament is expected to begin vetting of Ministers and Deputy Ministers nominated by President Akufo-Addo from Monday, February 20, 2023.

This was made known in the order paper of Parliament on Tuesday, February 14, 2023.

On Tuesday, February 7, 2023, speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin announced the President’s new appointees to head certain ministries.

The appointees were Member of Parliament (MP) for Adansi Asokwa, K.T. Hammond, the Minister designate for Trade and Industry, the MP for Nhyiaeso, Stephen Amoah would be serving as his deputy.

The MP for Abetifi, Dr. Bryan Acheampong was also nominated as the Minister for Food and Agriculture while Stephen Asamoah Boateng would head the Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs Ministry among others.

The nominees are expected to appear before the Committee for vetting chaired by Joe Osei Owusu, First Deputy Speaker.
