In his address to the congregation, the MP acknowledged the role the church played during the four-month intensive campaign prior to the 31st January primary.

Dr. Acheampong, a member of Salvation Congregation, New Achimota District, expressed his gratitude to the Church for “its prayers and support throughout his political journey”, The Moderator encouraged him to continue serving the nation with integrity.

Mr. Acheampong presented an undisclosed cash to the Presbyterian clergy at their headquarters.

Dr. Acheampong also spoke about his experience during the primary, citing “disappointments” along the way.

“Politically, I’ve been aware of this, but I’ve also experienced it firsthand through this process. There’s been a lot of disappointment along the way. None of it was caused by my friends, my opponents, or what one might call my political enemies. I am grateful to everyone who voted for me, and I cannot overlook the one region that gave me immense support and recognition—the Volta Region. – Dr. Bryan Acheampong said.
