The assemblyman for Twifo Bimponagya electoral area in the Twifo Atti-Morkwa District of the central region, Hon. Augustine Quacu, together with his son, Paa Kwasi Patrick, and one other person nicknamed “Machine,” are reported to have allegedly assaulted a 19-year-old boy with sticks and blocks over ownership of a cutlass.
Mr. Kwao Johnson, who is the father of the victim, explained that Kwabena Saah recently had a little misunderstanding with another person in the neighborhood about the ownership of a cutlass, so they referred the matter to the assemblyman, Hon. Augustine Quacu, for an amicable settlement.
The assemblyman then collected the cutlass in contention and told the disputed parties that he would keep the cutlass until he resolves the case before releasing it to the rightful owner.
A couple of weeks later, the victim saw that the assemblyman and his son were going to farm with the same cutlass in dispute, so he respectfully approached Hon. Augustine Quacu to inquire how and why he was using the cutlass without apparently resolving the case before him.
Before Kwabena Saah, the victim realized that the assemblyman, his son, and the other person, “Machine” clamped him on the floor and subjected him to beatings with sticks and blocks.
Kwabena Saah is however receiving treatment at the Twifo Praso government hospital.
Meanwhile, the assemblyman, Hon Augustine Quacu has denied the allegations and added that Kwabena Saah rather attempted to hit him with a stick.
