A family in Assin Odumase in the Central Region is in shocks after learning that their 40-year-old relative, George Kwame Antwi had been buried three months ago by another family.
The family of Antwi learnt of the shocking news after they had completed all funeral preparations, including cooking arrangements, and payments for undertakers, sound systems, canopies, mattresses, accommodation, including the invitation of sympathizers ahead of his burial.
Antwi, at the time of his death in September 2025, was deposited at the Assin Brofoyedur Mortuary for preservation where mortuary attendants were unable to locate his remains.
According to the family, Antwi’s body was mistakenly swapped with that of a 75-year-old man.
